from the mind of critic-1/27/18

From the mind of critic: “Will marches alone bring equality, when human respect is disintegrating? Will huge throngs of sign and blow horn weilding protestors be enough, against a power structure with generationally ingrained stamina? Will the string pullers of our government throw up their hands in surrender, because the serfdom they created is yelling and stomping for a day? Are societal problems so baked in and multi-faceted, that they require multi-faceted solutions? When a power structure waits protestors out they’re not threatened, they’re portraying the people as powerless. If we come out and fight the good fight for a day, before going home to curl up and forget our troubles, we’re admiting we’re powerless. How do we change this paradigm? We stand up and don’t stop. We unite by listening to others, and relating to their humanity, which helps them realize we’re all in the same boat, that’s being sunk by the group at the top. We filter into government and business by running for office, and creating collectively conscious start ups. We then build our critical mass to demand change, which will happen if our numbers are high enough. This causes the power structure to crack and come to our side, which will grow our numbers even more. Accountability, humanism, respect and love will usher positive change, if we use it to gather the critical mass we need. If we can get 10% of the country to believe in the craziest of crack pot theories, we can get 10% to march on Washington. They can’t kill or arrest 30,000,000 people, they can only admit defeat and join us. What are we waiting for?” 🙂
