From the mind of critic-10/13/16

From the mind of critic: “If the fate of our conscious evolution and collective humanity depends on our choices, how do we make choices that ensure our collective forward trajectory? If the fate of our personal well being, love, life and career success depends on our choices, how do we make choices that ensure our personal forward trajectory? Is the personal and collective journey antithetical to each other, where one side can only find success when the other fails? Or is the personal and collective journey actually a symbiotic relationship, where each side can only find success if they build up the other side into a success? Do unto others as we would have them do unto us, is an old saying we’ve heard for a long time. Have we ever spent time to examine what that actually means, and how it plays out in real life? We are all part of the collective, as well as the personal. If we don’t take care of ourselves we will be bitter, grumpy and depressed when the collective asks us to take care of it, because we feel like they’re stealing our time, preventing us from taking care of ourselves. And vice versa, If we never take care of the collective and only ourselves, our success and happiness will be fleeting because we don’t have anybody to share our joy with, and will start feeling like we’re better than everybody else. Where does choice come in? It comes in whenever we take action, whatever direction we decide to travel in. We must decide which path is best for us and the collective, because that balance is one of the keys to life. Life itself might be chaotic, dark, and might seem like it will never work out. However, deciding to take care of ourselves specifically so we can take care of others, makes our journey into the dark unknown much less scary, because it creates light at the end of the tunnel” 🙂
