from the mind of critic-3/24/18

From the mind of critic: “If there’s a thin line between love and hate, and between genius and insanity, is the line imaginary? Do we convince ourselvs they’re different concepts, when really they’re two sides of the same concept? Do strong emotions and strong intellect always set us apart from the general population? Do we blend in more if we act on the positive side, or the negative? Does experiencing balance allow us to find that sweet spot in the middle, where most of us reside? Every concept, thought, emotion, action and belief has positive and negative aspects, part of the balance that allows us to understand definitions. Being more on the positive side than the negative is always better. However, if we believe we’ll always be on the positive side, and act toward making it real by imagining something that’s not there, or gripping something so tight in a desperate attempt to hold on forever, we change the definition, and slide from one end to the other. Recognition and letting go, keeps joyful moments flowing through. The more we aim toward the positive without without an iron grip, the more we’ll be a loving genius, instead of an insane hate monger. When we admit we’re on different parts of the same side, we push forward our collective evolution. Purposeful action happens when we prove to ourselves, we’re all in this together.” 🙂
