“From The Mind Of Critic: 2020″
This is the sixth of many collections “From the Mind Of Critic.” The short essays can be flipped through randomly, or read in succession. They run the gamut of human emotions from love, to hate, to fear. Along with a healthy dose of politics, humanism, unity, accountability and truth, this collection will hopefully stir the pot just enough to start conversations. For if we simply talk to each other like human beings, we’d find that many of our generational issues can be solved. Emotions soften when fog lifts, making us realize we agree on a lot more than we disagree. We just need to get out of our own way, and remember, everything we need to know we learned in kindergarten.
Excerpts From MOC 2020:
“If loving our true selves is the key, growing closer socially, not distancing, is the answer; even if physical distancing still needs to be a thing.”
“What we must do as humans to ensure our current moment of clarity doesn’t go to waste, is to heal the hurt on the table; through truth, accountability, and justice. It’s the only path to true peace. Building each other up, and supporting one another through love and gratitude, is all the universe was trying to teach us, by making us suffer together. Let’s not waste the opportunity to become the people we always wanted to be. Let’s finally realize that the clarity upon us, is revealing that we are the people we’ve been looking for.”
“Bettering our planet, country, and political systems, starts by being truthful about the love which flows within us; specifically, so it can flow out of us. This is the first step in walking the talk. Being the ripple isn’t easy, but the ensuing wave will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, we can get out of this mess. We have the power to overcome illusory control, when we pull back the curtain, on ourselves.”
“The only way to fight ignorance, is finding truth. The only way to find truth, is through our love of humanity. We will succeed in this, once we love ourselves enough to know, why it’s vital. What could be more beautiful?”
